April Fool Day's Rambling ...
April Fool's Day
Woke up early as usual 6.00am. The sun rises pretty early in this part of country.
It should be 8.00am rather than 6.00am! I don't think Indonesian goverment wants to change their regional timing just because of me.
Thought of going down to the gym to sweat it out ... but then my lazy bones got the better of my head. I'll take a rest today and shall sweat it out tomorrow morning then.
What I've Been Up to?
Past few days I've been downloading alot of MP3 songs from one cool site. Kudos to Benign as his site rawks with updated albums from time to time. For those who wants to download your favourite albums, check this kewl site out: http://kedaimendownload.blogspot.com/

Working in Surabaya
Working the second time around has it's advantages i guess. Language wise i'm doing pretty well, just trying to remember all those special javanese words i've learnt before and trying to apply it.
Bahasa Indonesia still need polishing here and there. My Bahasa Malaysia gets the better of me at times.
Anto & Saiful is still working here at Shangri-la. These two guys are the original members of SPH. Anto still the supir and Saiful has moved on to the housekeeping department. I saw our previous office boy working in Finance Dept now! Damn i forgot his name.
My project still in infancy stage at the moment. Renovations supposed to start in September but i'm having problem to move forward as the current ID Consultant been terminated by HQ. This set me back at least 3 weeks from my original schedule.
Other consultants are already identified but signing on the dotted lines need to hold back until at least next week.
Current Hotel GM has moved on to Dalian in China yesterday. In his place a new GM from Penang will be arriving on the 4th of April. Hope i can work well with this new GM.
Work permit and visa has been settled 2 weeks ago. So no problems there ... i'll not be called Pendatang Tanpa Izin in this country.
In 2 weeks time i'll be going to Jakarta to check out the site and prepare the necessary report to start the project. Another minor renovation to handle there and i hope it'll stay as minor project. Can see that i'll be travelling alot during the renovation stage in September and October between Jakarta and Surabaya.
Wifey
Agnes scheduled to arrive in Surabaya this Saturday in the pm. I've not seen her for almost a month now. Missed u la sewelsss ... hehehe
We've been in contact with each other everyday via MSN chat and occasional Skype calls. She'll missed our home in Shah Alam for sure but at the same time she's looking forward to joining me here in Indonesia.

Ray is finally working in Dubai for a multinational firm there. Damn! He's earning 6000 pounds per month! I am envious! hahaha
All the money he earns but he can't frequent his watering hole to get his daily beer fix. i guess he is frustrated.
Karma got a job in Bali. Lucky devil! Currently he's in Jakarta until end of April then move on to Bali.
Ken is in Dubai, working for a Hong Kong based company. He's Ok there.
Why is everyone seems to be working in middle east? Hmmm ... must try to find out if there is any opportunity for people like me. Should i jump on the wagon?
Eddy is in Jakarta working for a sugar refinery company. He's in the sales and marketing and he's happy staying put here. Freedom dude!
