Liverpool - You'll Never Walk Alone
Champions LeagueLast night's game against Arsenal at their turf was emotionally draining. More so watching alone in the wee hours of the morning. Gosh!
At least my score line prediction of 1 - 1 came true. That score is more than enough when Liverpool will be hosting the Gunners next week at Anfield.
Gerrard's sudden burst of magic in the box and his cross with his left leg gifted Kuyt and important away goal that Liverpool desperately needed. Never mind all the same, Liverpool will whoop the Gunners arse for sure. ha ha
Kudos to Arsenal for attacking Liverpool from the start whistle.
Reina as usual made a lot of uncalled for mistakes. It's lucky that Liverpool came back with a draw!
Carragher was playing in right-back position ... he looked so out of place. Hope Rafa buys new player for next season. Finnan is not reliable anymore.
Hyypia and his bulldozing style of clearing the ball out of penalty area really irritates me. OK Rafa you can let him go by end of this season. Thank you Hyypia for all those years of your service. It's about time we should move on.
Skytle was fantastic last night and i wonder if Agger is back from his injury how will Rafa play his cards then?
As usual, Mascherano and Alonso was in their element last night holding the midfield together.
Both of them broke a lot of dangerous attacks from the Arsenal's young cikus.
Babel was not up to form. Sometimes i wonder if Rafa should just bring him in as Super-sub. He did score some fantastic goals when he came in as substitute in previous games.
Capt. Marvel Gerrard had a slow night except for that beautiful pass he feed Kuyt to score the lone goal.
Torres was completely shut out by Gunner's defense. Nothing much he could do as lone striker up front.
Barclay's Premier League
This season started promising when Rafa managed to sign Torres from Spanish club Athletico Madrid a club record of 20m pound.
For once i thought Liverpool will mount a serious challenge to the covert BPL trophy. Almost 20 years without that elusive BPL trophy is really heart ache. More so the Manures are rejoicing every time they lift that cup.
Well, Torres has scored 28 goals this season in all competition. He did not started a few games in the beginning of the campaign. Granted Rafa says that we need to let our star player get acclimatise to BPL's style of game. By all means ... heck! yeah go ahead! Liverpool's only problem was they were drawing way too many games this season which practically took the title hope right under their nose.
Reina and the defense team has one major weakness this season. They let in goals easily from opponent's set pieces. For pete's sake Rafa, it's almost end of season now and you still can't address the problem? Is it not obvious to you and the players?
All we're playing for now is fourth placing in the BPL. Damn! this has been the target Liverpool been setting for the past few years. When will they ever mount a more serious challenge to the covert trophy?
Since Rafa arrived, he has won for Liverpool 1 FA Cup, 1 Carling Cup and 1 CL trophy ... 2 finals in 3 years. All those trophy doesn't mean anything if we can't win BPL. We want BPL. We want BPL! It is in the domestic front we need to shut the Manure mouths! ha ha
Well like it or not ... Liverpool is still my beloved team.
You'll Never Walk Alone ...
