Rusty Thoughts on June 22, 2022

A thousand apologies for not writing anything in this blog of mine the past few years. Can't really tell what went wrong. No time to write? Laziness? Oh yes! Pure laziness. Much has happened since i last wrote. 2017 i came back permenantly to Malaysia. Last posting was in Manila worked on a new build hotel project. Completed. Khalas. Took up the Expert Returnee Programme offered by the government. Went to work with a local firm up north in Penang. Somehow Penang has a softspot in my heart. Found a good school for the princess. She's happy, Missus is happy as the school is just walking distance from the apartment we rented. Covid-19 hit and 2 years of my life just wasted. Luckily little work was there though the company suffered. Many projects was either cancelled or deferred until further notice. Took a sabatical leave in the middle of December 2021 and ventured to Kuala Lumpur. Currently working with a Project Management Company handling another 5 star hotel. Let's see how long I will last here. By the way, am working on setting up a company in The Philippines. Mario, Blair and Sam is my partner there. Registration of company started way before Covid time but has been dragging on until now. Not sure what future will hold for this idea of setting a company there. Crossing my fingers. Early this year during the Chinese New Year, went back to hometown as usual. Made sure to work on a project to improve the house my parents left behind. Worked on adding the natural ventilation to each bedrooms with timber louvers. Created a gazebo outside the house for relaxation.
